NSRI Shelly Beach assists six

STATEMENT BY NSRI SHELLY BEACH STATION COMMANDER JEREMIAH JACKSON:

At 11h15, Thursday, 08th March, NSRI Shelly Beach duty crew were activated following a request for assistance from the charter fishing boat Lucky Sands reporting mechanical motor failure of one motor and we launched the sea rescue craft Shelly Spirit to transfer 6 passengers off the casualty boat just off the backline of Shelly Beach.

Once all 6 passengers were safely brought to shore aboard the sea rescue craft Shelly Spirit the skipper brought the casualty craft ashore on one motor without incident.
