Sixty-two brave souls came out on a misty Sunday morning to take on the Tendele Trail Fun Walk/Run in aid of South Coast Hospice.
Participants enjoyed hot coffee and boerewors rolls prepared by event organisers Ugu Athletics Club as they finished.
The event was sponsored by Umbango River Conservancy, Hope Commission, South Coast Toyota, Golden Glo, Four Nations Car Group, Auto Zone and Lazer 911, who provided safety and security.
Pardon Matabula, the chairman of Ugu Athletics Club, handed over a sum of R1000 to BT King, the fundraiser of South Coast Hospice, which will be used for ongoing quality palliative patient care in the Kingfisher House Inpatient Unit.
“Thank you to the Ugu Athletics Club, the sponsors and the athletes for giving up of their time and support for Hospice. Well done to all who organised, participated and put the event together,” said King.
