The Treasure Hunt fund-raising event, organised by Fallen Friends at the Buccanneers Pub in St Michael’s on Saturday, had many excited pirates scrambling for booty.
This exciting event, organised in aid of South Coast Hospice, attracted 80 treasure seekers who searched the windy shores at St Michael’s, maps in hand.
The treasure of R10 000 was eventually won by the Pest Crusaders team, who generously donated R5 000 of their winnings to South Coast Hospice.
“Our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to Theresa Knox and her Fallen Friends team, Buccaneers Beach Pub and Grill and the community for the overwhelming support and we are humbled by the generosity of Pest Crusaders who donated half their booty to South Coast Hospice,” said Diane van Dyk, CEO of South Coast Hospice.
Prizes were also given to raffle winners and for the best-dressed.
