Members of the Art by the Sea Club are holding an exhibition of their work at the Margate Art Museum this month.

The public are invited to the exhibition, which boasts several themed installations and some very good individual paintings on a variety of subjects.

“We all agree that this is the most exciting show that we have presented in recent years. We feel that members of the public will enjoy looking at our work even if they do not intend buying anything,” said Robin Ransome.

The club has been in existence for 42 years and meets every Tuesday morning at 9am in the Art Museum’s Activities Room (the museum is closed on Mondays).

A different project is worked on each week with help available from the more experienced members.  The club holds an occasional demonstration and a monthly ‘crit’, which is very instructive.

New members and beginners are welcome. For more information, email [email protected]
