The Ramsgate Lions held their bi-monthly diabetes sugar testing morning at the Hibiscus Mall in Margate on Saturday.
A total of 263 people were tested – 116 men and 147 women.
“Fifteen men and 14 women were found to be out of range and were told to see their doctors as soon as possible,” said Lion Rob Henry.
“Thanks to KwaZulu Ambulance Services for sending a team to do blood pressure testing. This proved to be very popular, so a big thanks to them for helping us hold a very good event,” he added.
