The Port Shepstone Bowling Club Singles Championships was played recently.
The winner in the ladies was Julie Ross, with Gill Thiele being the runner-up, and in the men’s, it was Eddie Fann who won and Murray Ross who finished as the runner-up.
This past weekend saw the playing of the pairs. The winners of the ladies were Irinas Eigerman and Caroline Harris and the runners-up Pat Maggs and Winnie Hess.
In the men’s, the winners were Murray Ross and Roy Anderson (pictured) with the runners-up being Mark Smith and Keith Mills.
Thiele and Fann, meanwhile, represented Kingfisher Bowling Association in the inter-districts where they came third in their section.
Back at the club, the Business Challenge sponsored by Curnow KZN was held recently. At the request of the generous sponsor, the playing order was reversed, so skips played as leads and leads as skips.
The winners were Jenny Rawlins, Ron Weddell and Elena Frizelle. The runners-up were Mary Jacobson, Nikki Coetzer and Mark Nicholas while the lucky draw winners were Barry Krause, Yvonne von Mentz and Winnie Hess.
