Southcity cricketers on a roll, four selected for SKZN

The Southcity Under-11 A cricket boys notched up three wins in a row recently.

In the first game, Port Edward scored 56 runs in 20 overs. Southcity reached 57 runs in 8.2 overs, winning by five wickets.

The boys played Margate last Wednesday and bowled them out for 67 runs. Southcity chased down the target in 12.4 overs, winning by six wickets with Hercue de Bruin and Cameron Olivant scoring 25 runs each.

The next day they took on Izotsha, who batted first and scored 91 runs in 20 overs. Again, Southcity were successful in their run chase, reaching the target in 13.5 overs and winning by six wickets.

Cameron Olivant scored 21 runs, Hercue de Bruin scored 23 runs (not out) and Jayden Vermeulen scored 12 runs. Well done boys!

In more exciting cricket news, Cameron Olivant, Hercue de Bruin and Mbonisi Zulu have been selected for the SKZN Under-11 squad and Devan Cawood have been selected for the Under-15 SKZN squad.
