WFO Hard Enduro Club announces bumper 2020 schedule

The WFO Hard Enduro Club is looking forward to an exciting 2020 racing season and plans are running at full steam to make sure that this will be one of the greatest seasons yet.

Looking back on 2019 racing season, the WFO events showed a 22% increase in entries over and above the previous year which shows that the events that WFO have put on are steadily gaining traction and improving in line with the demands that the Enduro Sport creates.

The racing season culminated in a full house WFO podium at the Roof of Africa – winner Wade Young, second-placed Scott Bouverie and third-placed Kyle Flanagan – with many WFO members excelling themselves. With our club membership at an all-time high for 2019 and successful events being with the respective Champions being crowned as head of their classes we look forward to the new season.

There are some exciting changes happening this year for enduro competitors and WFO looks forward to embrace them and have a successful 2020. A big thank you to our club secretary Nadine, Carmen Hill of MSA, land owners, event organisers and our WFO committee for their contribution to the 2019 race season.

We look forward to working together to make the sport of enduro great again and welcome new members to come and enjoy this wonderful sport of enduro.

Before the AGM starts, at 17h00, there will be a meeting for all prospective Junior riders where we will discuss the 2020 racing season.
NEW Junior Enduro Class Series including an inter-provincial team of junior enduro riders to be selected to represent WFO at the national enduros.

The WFO season for 2020 is set to be a very interesting season with the changes that have been made at National Enduro level and some interesting formats and venues for the new season. With the incorporation of interprovincial challenges and Junior enduro to our WFO events as well as hosting a national enduro and a national extreme enduro series event which will form part of the National Enduro Super Series (NESS).

Our events for 2020 will be a total of 7 rounds with 6 rounds to count as per below:

ROUND 2      19 April – The Slayer PMB
ROUND 3      16 May – The General South Coast
ROUND 4      18 -20 June – The Impi
ROUND 5      11 July – Twin Peaks – Underberg
ROUND 6      5 Sept – Timberland – Ixopo
ROUND 7      23/24 Oct – Ramasgate – Matat

WFO 2020 Membership is going to be an exciting membership year for the club with a number of new events and new venues coming into play.
