UGU STATEMENT:

Please note the following system status update:

Bhobhoyi system:
St Helen’s experienced a power interruption from 1 am; Eskom has just restored power and plant production resumed. All boosters are currently off including sport and leisure.

Marburg system: reservoir low due to no supply from plant; waiting for booster start midday when plant reaches 70%. Esperanza pumps are off and reservoir currently above 60%.

Umzumkhulu reservoir is dropping below 20% due to no supply; boosters will be started at 70%; tower pumps are off.
Northern/Albersville: Northern reservoirs are healthy and stable; community urged to conserve water while building up Umzimkhulu command reservoir.

Gamalakhe system: main reservoir and tower above 70% and 80% respectively. Msikaba line is opened.

Murchison: Murchison No.2 has been opened.

Shelly Beach, Uvongo and Margate CBD supply reservoirs healthy and stable.

Seaslopes system: Seaslopes above 50%, Ramsgate system supply opened Ramsgate South and North above 80% and 50% respectively. Kaisers, Nosita and Game reserve pumps running.

Mhlabatshane system: Mehlomnyama supply has opened and feeding KwaMadlala system. Ngcengezi supply closed as per Schedule.

Umthavuna system:

Umthavuna plant operational; power supply interruption experienced yesterday from morning which affected supply and currently supply command reservoir to recover affected coastal and inland systems.

Plant operational; Hanover, Shobamdlanzi pump running and coastal supply opened.

Kwahlongwa plant operational.
