UGU STATEMENT:

Please note the following system status update: Area South 27 April 2020

BHOBHOYI SYSTEM:

Plant is operational with the reservoir above 60%, All plant boosters are running including Sport and Leisure.

MARBURG SYSTEM:

The reservoir outlet was closed last night to build up levels. Esperanza reservoir above 60% and pumps are running. Please note that our teams are busy working on Oscar Nero Road. This will take between 3 to 4 hours to complete: Oslo Beach and lower part of Marburg will be affected.

UMZUMKHULU/NORTHERN/ALBERSVILLE:

All northern reservoirs are healthy and stable.

GAMALAKHE SYSTEM:

The main reservoir and tower are above 70% and 80% respectively. Msikaba line is opened.

MURCHISON:

Murchison No.2 has been opened, and Madakani to be fed in the afternoon.

Shelly Beach, Uvongo and Margate CBD supply reservoirs healthy and stable.

SEASLOPES SYSTEM:

Seaslopes is above 50%, Ramsgate system supply opened..
Ramsgate South and North above 80% and 50% respectively.
Kaisers, Nosita and Game reserve pumps running.

MHLABATSHANE SYSTEM:

Mehlomnyama supply has been opened. Ngcengezi supply closed as per Schedule.

UMTHAVUNA SYSTEM:

Umthavuna raw water pump station and plant off due to emergency repair work being done on the raw water rising main valve. Work resumed at 08:00 and expected to be completed by 16:00.

Plant level was above 80% at 08:00 after restriction of outlet valve to build up plant command reservoir.

Plant operational: Hanover, Shobamdlanzi pump running and coastal supply opened.

KWAHLONGWA plant operational.

Area South Water tanker Status:

There are currently 6 of the 15 internal water tankers on the road, with 9 of the 10 hired tankers working.
