UGU STATEMENT:

Please note the following system status:

Bhobhoyi system:

The plant is operational. Plant boosters on and Sport and Leisure off to stabilise plant level.

Marburg system: Marburg reservoir is healthy and Esperanza pumps to be started.

Umzimkhulu/Northern system: Northern system reservoir is currently stable and healthy. Port Shepstone CBD reservoir is on peak demand level being monitored.

Gamalakhe: Main reservoir healthy are currently sitting at above 70% with tower above 90%. Msikaba line opened to Msikaba and Bethania.

Murchison system: supply has been diverted to hospital reservoir. After 2pm feed will be diverted to community reservoirs until tomorrow morning at 4am. Nsimbini pumps running to feed Nyandezulu.

Uvongo, Shelly Beach and Margate CBD reservoirs are stable and healthy. Break on Munro which was affecting Margate, Robin, Carleise etc was completed yesterday and water restored.

Seaslopes system: Kaisers and Nosita pumps running to feed upper Margate Ext 3, 7, Nosita and Game Reserve..Game reserve above 70% outlet opened and team scouring main to restore supply.

Ramsgate line opened. Ramsgate North is above 80% and all supply diverted to South reservoir to augment for high demand.

Umthavuna system:

Plant running at full production.

Hanover pump station running to feed KwaXolo and Izingolweni. Gcilima supply is opened up to Clinic. Network on the downstream is affected due to stolen standpipes. Team will work with councillors to report a case before reinstating standpipes.

Izingolweni: Mansfiled supply opened.

Coastal system: BP2 supply opened. Port Edward is full and supply will be sent to Palm beach, Leisure Bay and Grassmere.

Kwahlongwa system:

Malukhakha reservoir was opened yesterday afternoon to feed Mgubo. Team will confirm level this morning and start Mgubo station. With demand being higher than supply, Malukhakha and Mgubo will be closed on adhoc to build up reservoir levels in order to run pump station.
