UGU STATEMENT:

Please note the following systems status: Area South 7 April 2020

BHOBHOYI SYSTEM:

Plant operational at full capacity. All plant boosters are running including Sport and Leisure.

MARBURG SYSTEM:

Esperanza pump running, Esperanza reservoir is currently on 30% climbing to restore upper Marburg and Bhobhoyi when level is at 50%. We note Olso Beach King Harkon leak, it has been logged for team to attend. Water closed and the following streets will be affected: Settlers road, Range road, King Harkon, Palm and Caster. Masinenge temporary tower pump will be installed and tested today.

UMZIMKHULU/NORTHERN/ALBERSVILLE/CBD:

Umzimkhulu above 50% and tower pumps running. Repairs on Port Shepstone continuing today, no restoration time as yet, excavation are around ground cables which will delay progress. Water relief scheduled.

GAMALAKHE SYSTEM:

Main reservoir and tower level are above 80% and 70% respectively. Msikaba line also opened.

Shelly Beach, Uvongo and Margate CBD supply reservoir stable and healthy.

SEASLOPES SYSTEM:

Ramsgate supply opened, Seaslopes, Ramsgate South, North are above 60%, 50% and 70% respectively.

Kaisers and Nosita pumps are running feeding upper Margate and Nosita systems.

UMTHAVUNA SYSTEM:

Plant operational at full capacity. Hanover pump feeding Izingolweni and KwaXolo system. Shobamdlanzi reservoir full and pumps have been switched off.

COASTAL SYSTEM:

Port Edward, Leisure Bay and Palm Beach being supplied. Arbor Glade break repairs continuing today.

MHLABATSHANE SYSTEM:

Umgeni currently supplying Ngcengezi. The supply to Mehlomnyama currently closed. Plumber on the way to check Ngcengezi level and open supply to Mehlomnyama to build up and feed Nkulu, Qwabe and KwaMadlala.
