STATEMENT BY UGU DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON:

The Municipality advises all its customers of water supply interruptions due to power outages being implemented by Eskom which are further contributing to the current disruptions to our water and sanitation plants.

The Municipality therefore appeals to customers to assist us and exercise stringent water conservation measures and use water as sparingly as possible as load shedding is to continue today.

We will continue to monitor our service systems during this period while doing everything possible to ensure that the impact caused by power outages to the supply of our services to customers is minimized.

Static tanks for relief supply have been placed as follows:

MARGATE:
Cnr of Tedder and Shepstone Road
Hibiscus Mall
Margate Police Station
Margate CBD between Wimpy and Post Office

RAMSGATE:
BP Garage
Pistol Salon
Cnr of Julia and Cpt Davis Road

UVONGO:
Town Hall

MANABA:
Cnr Collis and Queen Street

We call for your patience during this period while we contend with the challenges associated with the power outages.

Regards,
Ugu District Municipality Communications
