Ugu: Posting of water account statements temporarily suspended due to lockdown

STATEMENT BY UGU DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY:

Ugu account holders to please note that invoices billed on the 21st, 26th, 30th of March and 15th of April will not be posted out, however, those customers who have opted to receive their invoices via email will get their invoices timeously.

Customers are encouraged to use the Ugu Citizens App to check their outstanding account balances, alternatively, pay the average monthly amount to prevent escalating debt and future disconnection.

Customers are further encouraged to make payments via EFT, Direct deposits and Easypay during this period; allocations will be done automatically.

RECEIVE YOUR WATER ACCOUNT VIA EMAIL

Account holders are advised to register to receive their water accounts via email conveniently.

To do this, send an email to enquiries@ugu.gov.za attach a copy of ID of the account holder. The staff will gladly link your account and you will receive your next month’s statement via email.

REGISTER ON EASYPAY, PAY YOUR WATER ACCOUNT ON TIME, AVOID PAYING INTEREST

Ugu Council approved the charging of interest on all overdue municipal water accounts, followed by a stricter debt collection drive. All account holders are advised to keep their accounts up to date.

EasyPay is one of the most convenient methods of paying your bills. Register using your EasyPay number reflected at the bottom of your bill just under the barcode, and transact, easy.
