STATEMENT BY UMZUMBE MUNICIPALITY:

The Umzumbe Municipal offices are closed (from Wednesday 29 July 2020) and will re-open on Monday 3 August 2020.

This follows the confirmation of an employee who tested positive for COVID-19. The closure allows the entire municipal building to be decontaminated until Friday 31 July 2020.

The municipality will ensure that all necessary protocols related to COVID-19 are followed including consulting critical stakeholders such as the Department of Health.

We further call upon all fellow employees to exercise necessary precautions meant to combat the further spread of the virus in our offices, their families the entire community of Umzumbe.
