UGU STATEMENT:

Please note the following system status:

BHOBHOYI SYSTEM:

Bhobhoyi plant is operating at full capacity, with all plant boosters running. Sport and Leisure pump station off to allow plant to build up level.

MARBURG SYSTEM:

Marburg reservoir level is above 60% and Esperanza pumps started.

UMZIMKULU/NORTHERN SYSTEM:

Northern supply reservoir levels are stable. There is a reported leak on a damaged airvalve supplying Umzimkhulu reservoir and team has since been dispatched to isolate and effect repairs.

GAMALKAHE SYSTEM:

Both the main reservoir and tower are above 80%. Regarding the break in Mganka bulk main repairs continuing and we anticipate completion today. Qinabout supply opened and isolation is on Msikaba line.

Shelly Beach, Uvongo, Margate CBD systems stable. Team monitoring bulk supply and reservoir levels.

SEASLOPES SYSTEM:

Ramsgate reservoirs healthy, with both South and North above 80% and 60% respectively. Kaisers pump station feed Margate Ext 3,7, Nosita, Game reserve and Gayridge systems.

MURCHISON SYSTEM:

Hospital is being supplied and changeover to feed community reservoir during midday. Murchison 3 above 53%. No.2 and Madakane will be fed in the afternoon.

UMTHAMVUNA SYSTEM:

Plant operational with both inland and coastal supply opened.

Hanover pump station feeding Izingolweni, Nkulu and Mansfield supply to be opened today. KwaXolo supply feed to Sunduza and Mvutshini to be opened.

Gcilima supply closed due to break next to clinic and team are going to site.

Shobamdlanzi reservoir is full and pumps have been switched off.

Coastal system: Port Edward, Grassmere and Palm Beach supply opened.

MHLABATSHANE SYSTEM:

Mehlomnyama supply restriction was due to cloth on the outlet strainer and bulk scour was found to be opened on the line to KwaQwabe/KwaMadlala line.

Supply to Nkulu (Oshabeni, Franklands), KwaQwabe and KwaMadlala reservoir opened this morning. More flow will be diverted to KwaMadlala tonight.

Water Tanker status:

Internal: 7 out of 15.

Hired: 10 / 10.
