UGU STATEMENT:

Please note the following systems status: Area South 08 April 2020

BHOBHOYI SYSTEM:

Bhobhoyi plant operational, plant boosters and Sport and Leisure running. One of southern boosters has a breakdown and team going onsite to assess.

MARBURG SYSTEM:

Marburg outlet was closed overnight to build up plant level. Masinenge and Esperanza pumps are running feeding respective reservoirs. Mkholombe and Hlanganani water restored after installation of a tower pump yesterday. Upper Marburg and Bhobhoyi supply to be restored today.. Esperanza reservoir building up, yesterday pump was affected by commissioning of Masinenge pump.

UMZUMKHULU/NORTHERN/ALBERSVILLE:

Umzimkhulu and Albersvile are above 50% and 80% respectively. Northern reservoirs stable, Almos farm break work in progress.

Fairview confirm to have water after report of no water circulated.

GAMALAKHE SYSTEM:

system stable reservoir above 70% and tower above 80%. Msikaba line opened.

Shelly Beach, Uvongo and Margate CBD supply reservoir are stable.

SEASLOPES SYSTEM:

Seaslopes supply affected by booster breakdown. one currently running while mechanical team are assessing the augumentation booster breakdown extent.

Ramsgate south and north reservoirs above 70%. Kaisers and Nosita pumpstaion running to feed upper Margate and Nosita.

MHLABATSHANE SYSTEM:

supply has been diverted to Mehlomnyama from yesterday afternoon; Nkulu reservoir has water and outlet to Oshabeni opened. Team on the way to check and restore supply to Kwaqwabe and Kwamadlala.

UMTHAVUNA SYSTEM:

Plant operational; Hanover pump station are off to allow plant level to build-up. Bp1 was overflowing due airlock which affecting supply to coastal BP2 command, plumber allocated to resolve. Currently; building up BP2 to restore coastal command reservoir supply.
