The world-renowned fellowship leader and author of the bestselling novel, Faith Like Pototoes – Angus Buchan – will address this year’s Mighty Men Conference (MMC) being held at Kuswag High School fields, Amanzimtoti, from 9 to 11 October.

Buchan, who also established Shalom Ministries and the Beth-Hatlaim Children’s Home, will speak to the crowd about issues facing the modern man.

“Every time I go to one of these conferences it changes my life,” said Buchan, adding that he was looking forward to his first attendance at a “Toti” MMC.

“The conference is about men getting together, seeking the face of God and allowing the holy spirit to change our lives.

“We are coming together to talk about real issues facing men and, most of all, we come together to hear what the holy spirit has to say to us.”

Buchan called on anyone feeling depressed or lost in life to attend the three-day conference.

“There is nothing to be lost in attending, only gained.”

This is the second Mighty Men Conference to be held in Amanzimtoti. More than 700 men benefitted from last year’s ‘urban style’ conference, listening to enlightening speakers in a relaxed environment.

Joining Angus Buchan as speakers at the event are Pastor Ferdie Warwick , Dr Anthony Jacobs and international speaker and author, Takalani Mufamadi. Mufamadi is the senior pastor of Grace Tabernacle Church in Austerville, Wentworth.  He is also the third General Overseer of the Full Gospel Church of South Africa.

The Friday evening service will cater specifically for fathers and sons, focusing on this important relationship. Dr Anthony Jacobs, who has a wealth of experience addressing youth and parents, will speak at this restitution service which is aimed at strengthening father/son relationships or even mending those that are broken.

The Friday evening service is free of charge for fathers and sons attending the service together, however, regular rates will apply for those wishing to stay for the remainder of the weekend. Sons attending this inspirational service must be 12 years or older. For tickets to attend the Friday evening father/son service, contact Adam Cruickshank of Sweetwaters Church on 072 512 4930 or Dr Anthony Jacobs on 083 300 7738.

Tickets for the full Mighty Men Conference are available at Computicket (www.computicket.co.za) at a cost of R100 each. This fee covers camping for the weekend and access to all four services. A weekend pass is also available at a cost of R100 and tickets for this will be on sale each day at the gate.

The Sunday service is open to all men, women and children, free of charge.
