The Paddock Fishing Competition, scheduled to take place next weekend, has been cancelled.
“We are sad to announce that we have had to cancel the 2020 Paddock Fishing Competition due to the Coronavirus,” said tournament organiser, Jamie Stedman.
“It is with much disappointment and regret but we cannot see another way. To our loyal sponsors and valued fisherman, we hope to see you next year! All purchased tickets will be refunded,” he added.
The Paddock Farmers Club will once again be hosting their annual fishing competition from 27-29 March.
A big highlight on the local sporting calendar every year, the Paddock Fishing Competition helps to raise funds for the club and is a great opportunity for families and friends to get out and do something fun outdoors.
Anglers will have their pick of over 30 fully-stocked dams and amazing prizes – valued over R15 0000 – are up for grabs.
The cost per person to fish is R80 (which includes a lucky draw entry) and entrance to the club costs R20 for adults and R10 for under 18s.
Camping facilities are available at the club at R400 for the weekend, and delicious food will be available to purchase throughout the weekend as well as a coffee truck.
To enter and for more information, contact Eleanor Hansen on 083 293 5265 or join the event’s Facebook page – Paddock Fishing Compo – to stay up to date. The briefing will be held on Friday, March 27 at 7pm.
