A record number of bikers participated in the annual South Coast Hospice Ride for Remembrance fund-raising event on Sunday.

The bikers set off from St Mike’s Beach and ended their ride at Douglas Mitchell where they enjoyed a lovely breakfast along with family, friends and South Coast Hospice staff.

“It was a lovely day. The spirit was great and the support was amazing,” said BT King, South Coast Hospice Fundraiser.

“This was our biggest biker attendance so far in seven years. It was great to have the Sizonke Biker Group from the Eastern Cape with us this year.”

Three helium balloons were released in memory of lost loved ones. There were many exciting lucky draw prizes, and the booze hamper raffle was won by Twinkletoes.

“Thank you to everyone for the support and our grateful thanks to Eddie and his team for a delicious breakfast,” said King.
