The new intake of grade eight learners had an exciting welcome to Port Shepstone High School and enjoyed an orientation programme co-ordinated and presented by the Executive Council of Leaders.

We also welcome new grade 9, 10 and 11 learners and hope that they make the best of their time at Port Shepstone High School.

The staff complement is largely unchanged. We said goodbye to two of our school assistants, Kamohelo Motstetse and Ayanda Dladla and welcomed Ntombifuthi Gumbi, Nicole Watkins and Siyethaba Mhlongo who have joined the school assistants team.

Jade Barnes was welcomed as a new intern for the Maths department. Owan Shrives who joined us a School Asisstant last year has moved from there to becoming an English Intern with the Epoch and Optima Learnership Programme within the school.

At the end of last year, we had the sad news of the untimely passing of our Tourism educator, Lizl Havenga. A special memorial service was held on Tuesday to commemorate her life.

To stay updated with all Sheppie High’s activities, parents and learners are advised to make use of the D6 application.
