Friday’s Comfort Cool/Fourways Airconditioning Golf Day at Port Shepstone Country Club was a major win for the Lower South Coast SPCA.

A full field teed it up for furry friends and an auction was held in the evening. All in all, a whopping R35 000 was raised.

Piet Fourie, Jaco van der Wal, Johan Neethling and Meebs de Beer counted out Jay Ramkissoon, Seelan Govender, Harry Naidoo and Sathia Moonswamy for the win on 94 points, with Sbu Ntozakhe, Koko Zithumane, Abe Sidumo and Ndumi Ncemane winning a count out for third place on 92.

Mark Robertson and Jenny Hulley were the lucky winners of the raffle, winning Samsung cell phones (valued at R3500 each sponsored by Fourways Airconditioning and Samsung South Africa), while Jesse Verster won the lucky prize, which was a weekend away in the Honeymoon Suite at Umthunzi Hotel and Conference.

Lane Allan from Macsharp Timbers orchestrated a fabulous auction and sponsored a Butchers Block, which was bought by De Waal Coetzee of Poolfection for R6200. Coetzee also bought the men’s and ladies wallet sponsored by Wild & Free.

Chewing the Hornet and DJ “Stoppy” ensured that the event ended on a high note.
