Golfers raised much-needed funds for Pro Deo at the non-profit organisation’s annual golf day at San Lameer on Saturday.

The course was at its beautiful best and the event was a big success.

The winners on 51 points were Motlatsi Moelelle and Robert Mavundla. Runners up Wonderboy Nxumalo and Robert Mavundla were one-point back while Malcolm Greenland and Colin Mckay counted out Lou van Niekerk and Johann Erasmus for third place on 49 points.

“Thanks to the commitment and support of San Lameer and all our wonderful sponsors we have managed to raise about R70 000,” said Henda Olivier, deputy chairperson of Pro Deo, an inter-church non-profit organisation that consists of a group of volunteers who deliver a service of love to the community.

“With this money, we can render our home-based care service for the next two months without any financial worries.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank each and every one who contributed to this huge success. Without you, none of this will be possible! Be blessed!”
