The Southern KwaZulu-Natal XI travelled to Empangeni on Saturday to face Uthangulu at Addison Park in the Twenty20 Premier League.
Southern KwaZulu-Natal were put in to bat and battled to 87 all out.
Uthangulu passed the total in the 17th over, losing four wickets in the process. Yugeshan Pillay made it difficult for the batsmen with some mature bowling from the youngster picking up two wickets for only nine runs in four overs.
Following the six-wicket loss, Southern KwaZulu-Natal hosted Chatworth Sporting at Port Shepstone Country Club on Sunday.
Southern KwaZulu-Natal elected to bat first and again battled on a slow pitch and even slower outfield, scratching up 89 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs, with Morné Bishop top-scoring with 36 not out.
Chatsworth Sporting’s batsmen took a measured approach with good running between the wickets and passed the score in the 17th over with two wickets down to hand Southern KwaZulu-Natal and eight-wicket defeat.
