Paddock Polocrosse Club kicked off the year with a junior camp at the Oribi Rust Bucket Museum recently.
The camp played host to 25 new and old polocrosse junior players ranging from -2 (beginner) handicap to 3 handicap.
They spent four days full of fun learning all about the horse, tack, horse care, the game, coaching on horseback and on foot from South African player Caroline Minaar and her assistant.
The end of each day was spent riding bareback and playing catches followed by cooling off by swimming in the dam with the horses.
It was considered by all as a very successful, learning and fun experience.
