Members from the Designated Firearm Office at SAPS Port Shepstone had the pleasure of educating learners at Izotsha Primary School about the role the police play in their communities under the curriculum “People who help us”.

The well-disciplined five and six year old learners listened attentively to Captain Heidi Slabbert as she spoke about the danger of guns, 10111 and stranger danger.

The teachers and learners were treated to a demonstration from the K9 Unit and introduced to search dogs Bear and Camilla. Board games, pamphlets and sweet treats were also handed out to the learners.
