Rate of new Covid-19 cases rises in Ugu district

This past week saw a rise in the rate of new Covid-19 cases in the Ugu district.

Eighty-nine new cases were recorded in the region over the past seven days, up from 56 the previous week.

Meanwhile, there was just one additional coronavirus-related death, compared to four the week prior.

The total number of recorded cases in the district now stands at 5332, 126 people have passed away while 4432 people have recovered.
