It’s time for the Rotary Club of Shelly Beach’s fourth annual melodrama, this year entitled “ The Beat of the Street”.

This comedy stage show comprises various skits, parodying the rivalry between a typically South African and a typically Indian restaurant, across the street from each other, on Baker Street.

The show showcases the shenanigans taking place between the two restaurants in order to drum up business for their respective businesses, and how they eventually work together to liven up the Baker Street precinct.

You will see various well known members of the community, from different walks of life and various businesses and service clubs taking part, trying very hard NOT to make fools of themselves on stage, acting totally out of their comfort zone. So come along and enjoy an evening on fun, fellowship and laughter.

The show takes place in the Port Shepstone Town Hall on Thursday 2nd; Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th October. Tickets cost R100 for the Thursday night show, which includes a light finger supper and R140 for the Friday and Saturday shows, which include a three course meal.
