The Heritage Day charity fun run, walk and cycle from Uvongo Fishing Pier on Tuesday was a big success.
A total of 99 people participated in the 5/10km event, while some – like Eleni Artemides – also did a duathalon consisting of a 5km run and 10km cycle. All in all, R3325 was raised for The Cows, who support the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa.
Organiser Deborah Berridge, a South Coast Strider and Cows Comrades runner, said, “We had a good crowd today. The weather is pleasant and people opened their hearts and purses to CHOC. A huge thank you for all the entries, donations and helpers.”
