Port Shepstone police  have embarked on an educational drive at local schools to educate learners regarding bullying other learners and also the misuse of certain websites  and cell phones.  Lt Col Zandra Wiid and W/O Shireen Michael visited Suid Natal Primary as well as Port Shepstone and Marburg Secondary respectively.  This initiative was started because of reports received that learners bully each other  verbally, physically, emotionally and also by means of the cyber /technological environment. The police say they have found this can result in psychological effects on the learners and that some learners also resort to criminal activities such as assault. They want to issue a warning that learners who threaten or assault others can face the possibility that criminal charges be investigated against them.
