The Amakhono Arts Culture and Heritage Festival celebrates all things steeped in African culture and takes place on the 19th September.
There will be indigenous, traditional music and plenty of dance; a diverse selection of African food and Zulu beer; with plenty of traditional dress and sale of arts and crafts on offer.
The day will start with a guided tour of the village where visitors will witness breathtaking scenery and enjoy the finest hospitality.
Visits to the waterfall and the traditional “beach”, the Mdlungwana and Ntantana mountains and the traditional healer are all part of the day’s programme. Transport has been arranged.
And with hot entertainment including Zulu and Xhosa dance, isicathamiya, Afropop, maskandi, poetry, kwaito ,hip hop, and gospel music – what are you waiting for?
So head on to the Bhuqu Sports Ground in Ward 24, HCM Itoztsha on Paddock Road, on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast and be part of these amazing festivities.
Visitors are encouraged to engage with the locals and support the crafters.
