The centenary celebrations continued as Port Shepstone Country Club held its Centenary Golf Day on Saturday.
A field of 68 players participated in the special fourball alliance (two scores to count) competition, with Richard Spencer, Lionel Peters, Pete Stoppel and Johan du Plessis emerging as the victors on 120 points.
Lyn Mol, Di Nadauld, Wendy Timmer and ladies club captain Cilla Lindsay were the runners-up on 117 points, edging third-placed Brett Pollington, Terry Kotze, Willem Lindeque and Greg Hornby by a point.
The centenary competition was preceded by the Lindimo Lodge Business Day fourball alliance (two scores to count) competition, which attracted 79 players on Friday.
Mot Moleele, Wanda Nxumalo and Robert Mavundla (plus ghost) were the winners on 103 points ahead of M Godongwana, Vusi Maphumulo, Ronnie Naidoo and Patrick Mavundla (96 points) and Carl Grobler, Martin Strauss, Ken Morris and Leon Reeders (94 points).
