The Windhoek International Pairs went down to the wire at Port Shepstone Country Club on Saturday.

Ultimately, a count out was needed to determine the winners after the three top tandems all finished on 46.

It was the father and son pair of Gavin and Jarrod van Wyk who edged it over Louis and Liana Klopper and Peter Stoppel and Albert dos Santos.

The betterball stableford competition saw Eddie Ringo and Mark Smith count out Danie Schutte and James Fergus on 49 points. Gerald Koch and James Coull came third on 44.

Meanwhile, the Business Day Bowls Challenge sponsored by Umthunzi Hotel & Conference was won by Renzo van Niekerk, Tony Aveyard and Phil Viljoen. The runners-up were Flippie Geyer and Kevin and Lesley Lancaster.
