Willem Lindeque became the first golfer to wear the Cellar API Cup blazer after he won the fourth round of the series at Port Shepstone Country Club on Saturday.
The blazer was debuted at the weekend’s event, in which players earned extra points toward their series totals.
Lindeque donned the blazer after carding a winning score of 71 nett.
Dylan Smith from the Cellar was on hand to present Lindeque with a special prize and the blazer, which will be worn by the winner of each round before it finds a permanent home with the inaugural winner of the series, which takes place on the first Saturday of every month.
Greg Hornby was the runner-up on 72 nett, followed by Gavin van Wyk, Phil Myburgh and Niel Retief, all on 74 nett.
The Monthly Mug sponsored by Auto Exec was also played on Saturday.
Santos Baskali was the winner on 70 nett and boasted the best gross (76), however, Rickie Naidoo was crowned the 2014/15 Mug of Mugs winners.
Marius Grobler won the individual stableford on 40 points, with Justin Hinchliff a distant second on 33 points.
Lindeque won the A Division after counting out PR Govender on 71 nett.
The other divisions also came down to a count out, Paul Bunge besting Rickie Naidoo to win the B Division on 72 nett and Mark Smith winning the C Division on 75 nett.
Roly Shaw won Wednesday’s Individual Bogey Bisque on plus six, while John Tingle counted out Steve Griebenow for second place on plus five.
