The coveted McKenzie Cup was up for grabs at Port Shepstone Country Club recently.

Superb weather complemented the annual two-day team event, held in honour of the club’s founder and first president Neil McKenzie.

The competition went down to the wire with the Port Edward A side counting out Kokstad A to clinch the silverware on 158 points.

The club thanks Jesse Verster, Eddie Ringo and their team of helpers who assisted with putting this successful competition together.

Silverware was also on the line for ladies golfers last Thursday.

To the victors went the spoils as top tandem Cecelia Verster and Anni Stoppel (pictured below) secured the win on 45 points to lift the Roberta Dennis Trophy.

Gloria Lundie and Ilse Steyn were the runners-up on 43.
