The Hibiscus Coast Rotary Golf Day was held at Margate Country Club on Saturday with 96 players participating to raise funds for Rotary.
Doug Johnston and Derek Egerton won the betterball stableford on 48 points after counting out Patrick Mavundla and Edwin Steyn.
Wonder Nxumalo and Robert Mavundla were third (47), Aathur Ehlert and Albert Speedman fourth (46 oco), Johan Wentzel and Riaan Croucamp fifth (46), Jane Davies and Janet Dowling sixth (44 oco), Mike Lee and Simon Lee seventh (44) and the duo of Gary Smith and John Crewe eighth.
The nearest to pins prizes went to Jim Finn (2th), Patrick Mavundla (4th), Gordon Ross (8th), Johan Wenzel (11th) and Thys Bothma (16th).
Martin Electronics was the main sponsor of the day.
In other Margate Country Club golf news, Tuesday’s ladies competition rained out but it was business as usual on Wednesday with Keith Duncalf, Frank Stephens and David James counting out Dieter Jucker, Cyril Greensmith and Alan Davies on 83 points to win the wobblers threeball alliance.
The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Rolf Spielmann, Brian Jeffreys and Jan Richter on 71 points.
Thursday saw Jim Finn win the Pro Shop competition on 43 points.
Pierre Malherbe was second on 42 points and Chris Nel completed the top three on 41 points.
Chris Nel won the nearest to pin prize on the 4th sponsored by Margate Pro Shop, while Brian Jolliffe won the nearest to pin prize on the 16th sponsored by Hibiscus Retirement Villages.
