Sheppie golfers mean business ahead of Club Champs

An 80-strong field of members and visitors from Port Edward, Southbroom and Margate played in the Windovert Business Golf Day at Port Shepstone Country Club on Friday.

The winners were the foursome of Jaco and Juan Buitendag, Bernd Kankowski and Bevis Fairbrother on 96 points.

In second place were Pete Govender, Ryan Keys and Keegan Reddy (ghost Leon Reeders) on 95 points, with Murray Ross, Dave Mee, Phil Myburgh and Geoff Hudson third on 90 points.

Later on Friday afternoon, 28 players participated in the Wozani Putting Shootout, which was won by Paul Geoffreys ahead of Louise Snyman.

Saturday’s betterball stableford was won by Howard Crouch and Frans Venter, who counted out Abel Yeeranna and Keegan Reddy and Benny Pillay and Ganes Munsami on 47 points.
