South Coast golfers fared well in the KwaZulu-Natal Ladies Golf Association Interclub that wrapped up in Dundee at the weekend.
A total of 206 ladies took part in this year’s tournament – 20 in the Gold Division, 72 in the Silver Division and 114 in the Bronze Division.
Although ladies had to contend with very chilly weather and layers of clothing, they thoroughly enjoyed the competition.
The Port Shepstone pairing of Jen Hulley and Beryl Olden shared the Bronze Division trophy with Margate’s Jane Davies and Lesley Erasmus on 114 points, while Southbroom’s Michelle Davies and Jeanette Peyios placed third with 113 points.
The Port Shepstone ladies expressed their gratitude to the ladies section for their assistance towards their interclub expenses.
They also conveyed thanks to Halfway Ford, Halfway Toyota and Barbara Rousseau who sponsored vehicles for the trip.
