The highly popular Mozart Day held at Southbroom Golf Club on Wednesday was a grand affair.

Co-ordinators Irene Schanda and Margaret Stoellinger pulled out all the stops and the weather was kind. The golfers were greeted with a Nachtmuzik or an Amarula and an offer of a great raffle ticket which included a free jumbo cappuchino from the club’s new coffee machine.

Then the lounge was transformed into Kaffeehuis where the finest Austrian cakes and goodies were displayed, sampled and thoroughly enjoyed. All the ladies were spoilt with Mozart goodies and the vibe in the club house was just great.

The winners on 47 points were Janet Humphrey and Eileen Neilson. Augustine D’Ewes and Heather Anderson (45) finished second, Rene Mathew and Jenny Westray (43) third, Julie Walker and Janet Humphrey (42) fourth and Candida Amm and Jeanne Powell (40) counted out Lee Mutch and Sharon Turnbull Jackson (40) for fifth place.
