Gavin Sole eased to victory in the Southern KwaZulu-Natal Open at San Lameer on Sunday.
The “Big Fish” used all his experience to clinch the silverware by six shots over Kyle Kistensamy after carding back-to-back rounds of 69.
With the win, the Southbroom veteran achieved the double, having won the Southern KwaZulu-Natal Closed on the same course in January.
Kistensamy, from Prince’s Grant, shot rounds of 74 while Gowrie golfer Carel du Plessis registered a 77 and a 70 to finish third.
Kwambonambi’s Andrew Morgan won the B Division on 78 points (39/39), where Drakensburg Gardens’ Vusi Maphumulo was the runner-up on 76 (39/37) and Margate’s Sbu Ntozakhe placed third on 74 (36/38).
