The second PLeace G.O.L.F Africa tournament of the PLeace Awaken Celebrity and Living Legends Golf Tour held at San Lameer Country Club over the weekend turned out to be a big success, especially for the participating charities and organisations.

The round table on solution approaches to the violence in South Africa, hosted by Sonia Booth, featured such interdisciplinary experts as Dianne Kohler Barnard, DA shadow minister of police, Ryno R. Schutte of Pro-Active S.A., Emmanuel Castis from Sides of a Horn, Sakkie Louwrens and Jan Stone of Heritage Protection Group, IB Dhlamini of the Thuma Foundation, Frikkie Hefer of Hope Again Recovery Center, Brown Lekekela of Green Door Diepsloot, Steve van Greunen from Steyn City, Matthew Booth of the Booth Trust, Tsepo Mhlongo, DA shadow minister of Sports and Recreation, and Bantu Holomisa, leader of the UDM.

The celebrities who teed off for a safer South Africa included Catriona Andrew, Matthew and Sonia Booth, Emmanuel Castis, Jannie de Beer, Ampie du Preez, McNeil Hendricks, Bantu Holomisa, Annie Malan, Felicity Shiba, Willem van der Ryst and South African golf legend Mark McNulty.

The winners – Catriona Andrew, Nic Henning and Robin Kohl – can look forward to a reunion at the final Living Legends event in Florida in September 2020.

“It was an unforgettable and heart-warming experience, and I hope to see you all back for the next event,” said initiator Steve Jacobs.
