Pack your bikini and suntan lotion and head on down to where the fun never sets…

If you are looking to entertain your family this winter season then look no further! Be sure to diarise these events all staged with no entry fee costs along the beautiful coastline of KwaZulu Natal South Coast.

For something band new why not head down to The Burlesque Café in the seaside Ramsgate Village on the 2nd June to experience the KZN South Coast’s first organic market. Sample cheese, homemade breads and pesto’s and fresh locally grown produce set to the backdrop of Dixieland Jazz and locally brewed coffee.

As ever, we cater for the youngest members of our family, the little ones will be entertained at the Fanta Fun Festival (22nd June – 14th July) which will be visiting all of the popular KZN South Coast Beaches this winter. A Fanta Film Festival guarantees all the latest kiddies films, set in the Fanta Fun Bean Bag Chill Zone with sardine colouring in competitions, games, ball pits, pinball and foosball machines and more on offer.

Pack your beach towels and suntan lotion and head down to the Coca Cola Beach Festival (22nd June – 14th July) where young and old will be kept entertained. The Coca Cola Beach Sports Zone set up on the popular KZN beaches will offer life size foosball and soccer arena’s along with touch rugby & beach volleyball. Enrol in the beach Beauty pageants, talent contests or fear factor competitions and stand a chance to win Coca Cola Hampers and fun prizes.

The Portuguese Mariners Festival (27th & 28th July) will once again be staged on Silver Beach, at Port Edward Beach Holiday Resort. Portuguese Food stalls, dancers, entertainers and artists will perform against the backdrop of a massive beach treasure hunt. The kids can enjoy the Children’s Festival which will offer a gigantic maze of inflatable fun whilst the parents can kick back in the Portuguese Village Square and enjoy the wine and beer tastings.

Fancy some curry? Then be sure to visit South Africa’s first ever Curry Festival (3 & 4 August) at Park Rynie Beach. You can learn to cook the most gorgeous curry dish or simply enjoy the Indian dancing, spices and Indian silk fabric stalls.

Scottburgh Beach will host a PRO Surf Tour and beach market along with non stop DJ’s and local SA Bands performing over the 3rd & 4th August. Be sure to visit the Africa Marine & Leisure EXPO tent or lie back and watch the life size kite festival. The Aliwal Shoal , ranks as one of the top ten best dive sites in the world so for the more adventurous a shark cage diving experience could also be on the cards.
