MEDIA STATEMENT BY RAY NKONYENI MUNICIPALITY:
2020 RAY NKONYENI MUNICIPALITY’S MAYORAL BUSINESS FAIR
It is that time of the year again where all roads lead to the South Coast as we gear up for the 3rd edition of the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality’s Mayoral Business Fair hosted by Her Worship, Cllr Nomusa Mqwebu on 03 December 2020 at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre.
This year the Mayoral Business Fair is held under the theme “Reigniting SMME’s Economy” focusing on businesses owned by Youth, Women and People Living with Disabilities. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all small businesses activities. This year’s theme seeks to address this by providing a platform for local SMME’s, cooperatives and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services to a much wider audience. It provides a not to be missed opportunity to network with buyers, funders, suppliers and clients to reignite the most affected economic sector.
The day will start with a business seminar for the participating SMME’s, conducted by speakers from Government, the local business chamber, banks, SARS and other regulatory bodies.
After the opening ceremony by the Her Worship the Mayor Cllr Nomusa Mqwebu, the doors to the Fair will open at10am. The Fair will be open to the public from 11h00 to 18h00. Entrance is free.
Applications for registration to exhibit are still open and forms are available from the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality LED Offices or Tel: 039 688 2273, email: Nothando.Mthethwa@rnm.gov.za. Deadline for submission is 17 November 2020 at 16h00
