Dirt bike and quad riders will put podium places aside for a much greater cause when they take part in Saturday’s Inbuzi South Coast Hospice Enduro, which gets underway from the Lutheran Church Grounds in Izotsha.
While lucky draw prizes will be up for grabs, there will be no winners or losers as it is a ride instead of a race.
Organisers have catered for riders of all ages with a 40km, 25km and 5km ride – all on safe and enjoyable tracks through Izotsha farms.
Event organiser Sandy Danckwerts told eHowz!t: “This is a special event in which riders will be riding for a purpose and that is to raise funds to reopen the Kingfisher House in-patient unit.”
Entry is R150 per person and R80 for riders under 12 and includes a free burger from Dougie’s Sports Bar.
Breakfast rolls by Port Shepstone Lions and Tiago’s will also be on hand to keep riders fuelled.
Registration starts at 7am followed by the briefing and the ride at 8am.
