Her Worship the Mayor officiated during the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Parade and Morale Boost Dance held at St Michael’s Beach on Tuesday.

This activity was mainly organised to express words of appreciation to the RNM municipal officials who were working as Essential Service employees especially the Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters who dedicated and risked their lives by providing help to the Ray Nkonyeni community during the scourge of Covid-19 especially during the hard lockdown (as gazetted through National Disaster Act 57 of 2002 and Declaration of National Disaster – Covid-19) up to date.

Furthermore, the municipal leadership saw it fit that expressing the word “thank you” to municipal officials will go a long way in boosting their morale and enhance their work productivity during the Covid-19 pandemic period.

In support of this program was Corporative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA). They encouraged the departments to conduct these morale boost sessions and then submit the footage once compiled.

The municipality would like to thank the community for their cooperation and for ensuring that they comply with all the regulations of the Covid-19 as gazetted as per the National Disaster Act 57 of 2002 and Declaration of National Disaster Covid-19.
