STATEMENT BY LOWER SOUTH COAST SPCA:

This has been a very busy and most interesting week for the Inspectorate after rescuing a duiker.

We received a call from a very concerned community member wanting to surrender her animals for treatment at the Lower South Coast SPCA.

The weather was not kind with mist and heavy rain which made visibility very difficult. The road was extremely wet and dangerous.

Our passion and dedication towards animal welfare were more important and we had to ensure that taking care of the animals was our first priority.

Chairman Scott Kvalsvig ended up having to come to our member’s rescue. Their vehicle was stuck in very thick mud.

We got lots of help from the locals and appreciation for fetching the animals in distress.

Scott Kvalsvig helped to pull the SPCA vehicle out of the mud with his own vehicle.

Operation Mabheleni was successfully completed and the mommy dog with her puppies and the cat with her kittens are now safe at the SPCA, warm and bellies full.

They will receive the treatment that they deserve.

Thank you Scott Kvalsvig for your dedication and commitment to the SPCA and animal welfare.

To our staff, thank you for not hesitating to try and help animals in need.

If you would like to contribute towards the treatment of our Madheleni puppies banking details are:
