Paddock Polocrosse Club will play host to an unofficial Test series between South Africa and Ireland in Oribi this weekend.

The three-match series will run concurrently with the club’s annual fun tournament, which will once again see players from across the country stream to the South Coast for three days of polocrosse and camaraderie.

Four Paddock junior stars will represent the South African open side against the 2019 Irish World Cup side.

Set to play in the national men’s side are 18-year-old Kenan Classen (pictured above, left), who helped the South African Under-21s to a series win over Ireland in April, and 17-year-old Jens Bunge (main photo, middle), who starred for the unofficial South African Under-19s against the UK last month.

Playing in the national ladies side will be sisters Amber (20) and Paige Pretorius (18), who are no strangers to international competition having represented South Africa from Under-12 to Under-19 level.

The action will get underway on Friday at 8am and conclude on Sunday afternoon. Hosts Paddock Polocrosse Club encourage spectators to come out and enjoy a fun family weekend.
